Geocache Description:

There is an actual cache here in the form of an ammo can, but the real treasure is the view.

This cache is located at an altitude of 4927' and gives those that make the drive, a wonderful view of some of our state's most magnificent formations. You can see from as far north as Mt. Hood, all the way south to Mt. Bachelor. The best way to reach this site is to take FS road 15 (Blue Lake Reservoir Rd) to FS road 1506 and follow it up until you reach the area. It is recommended that you return the same way as the road to the north is passable, but SUV is preferable. For another great view, go ahead up the north road for 1 - 2 more miles. If you go out on the knoll to get a look, please be careful. (Not necessary to find the cache.) Just as a little side note, Mt. Jefferson is ~34.7 miles and the Middle Sister is ~16.4 miles. Both as the crow flies. This is the starting point for The Moon & the Stars travel bug that wants to see as many out of this world locations as possible!
