Damon Mine Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Right Wing Wacko: Yep, it's gone. I was going to replace it but then realized that this would be the third time I'd replaced it. It's time to let this one go and re-think a new hide for this location.

Geocache Description:

When I came up to this area, I only planned on placing one cache at Lake Elizabeth, but after finding this mine, I just had to place one nearby to share my discovery with others.

This mine extends back into the mountain well over 1400 feet. The area seems to get a lot of traffic, as there are several campfire circles in the area immediatly around the mine.

Dispite having a clear sky I could only get three sattelites directly overhead when placing the cache, so I would appreciate it if you would post your corrdinates of where you find the cache.

The road seems to wash out every winter, so you may want to check with the Forest Service before heading up. You are looking for Money Creek - Road 6420

A Northwest Forest Pass is required for each vehicle parked at the trailhead
