Bittersweet Butternut Traditional Cache
Koopy: Sorry for the delay folks, but I believe this cache has been absconded with some time ago, and am just getting to archiving it now. This was our first cache and still one of our favourites to hide, as I grew up in this area when there was absolutely no subdivisions around it and still provides me with fond memories. Perhaps we'll place another one in the near future to keep it going.

The cache is off a well-known highway that brings you to Butternut Creek. You can park your vehicle at N44 15.642, W076 26.638 and begin your walk. The trail follows the creek and is relatively easy, but parents will want to watch young children as it skirts a rock ledge. The cache is not far off the trail and bushwhacking is very minimal. This was created with a family-orientation in mind.
One can park up the road even closer to the cache, but there is a little more bushwhacking involved and you certainly miss out on the scenic aspect of this cache.
The cache is a green ammo box and is marked with an official Geocaching sticker. The contents include notepad and pens, Goofy figure, sports car, post-its, CITO containter, Canada keychain/bottle opener, Geocaching keychain/compass, Kellogg's step counter, race car game, necklace, various coupons, and Canadian Tire money (it might as well be gold!).
