Rotten Pond Traditional Cache

A very pleasant walk along the shore of Ramapo Lake. Rotten Pond is one of the historic names of this lake. Some historians believe that the name came from the Dutch word, rote, which meant rat(or muskrat). Before the dam was built, this was little more than a swamp.
A nice walk for the family. Bring your fishing poles and a picnic lunch.
