Located close to Nettleton Beck by the Viking Way long distance footpath.
If you approach this cache from the village you will cross a stile erected to the memory of James Neville Cole who founded the Wanderlust Rambling Club of Grimsby in 1932. A dedication is on the stile and is the inpsiration for the name of this cache. The beauty of this area overturns the often stated misinformation that "Lincolnshire is flat and boring". You cannot visit this place and come away with that opinion, though just less than forty years ago this area was in the industrial heartland of iron and steel production. The valley was the home to iron mining and was a large opencast mine. When the mine closed the land was restored and nature has done its work. You may find fossils on your walk down the valley if you care to explore a little, but no digging please.
Browse the books in Nevs Cole's Study and come away enriched by what you will learn.
