One of the Pines to Palms Series.
This scenic loop climbs from the resort city of Palm Desert via Highway 74 winding through the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains. This series will lead you to Highway 243, and the mountain village of Idyllwild, before descending again to the desert near Banning. You will pass through a variety of beautiful areas ranging from desert oasis to snowcapped mountains, and parts of the Santa Rosa Mountains National Scenic Area and San Bernardino National Forest. The cache is a green Geocache micro container. Contents include log and geoletter. Bring a pencil.
