Geocache Description:

A four mile circular walk around the Tamar Valley from Bere Alston railway station with stunning views of the River Tamar.

There are three virtual locations to find, which make up the co-ordinates for the final cache location.

GPS coverage is good for most of the walk but please make sure you stay on the public footpaths. They are very well marked for most of the route, but a map would be very useful.

The above co-ordinates are for the starting point, the railway station car park, where there is free parking.

Leave the station and turn right and follow the road below the railway line.

Location 1:
N50°29.134 W004°12.061
The yellow sign on the post has five digits. Subtract the fifth number from the third number to get co-ordinate A. Add the first two numbers to get co-ordinate B. The fourth number is co-ordinate C. The third number minus the fourth number = D.

Now make your way down to the river bank & follow it downstream.

Location 2:
N50°29.867 W004°13.167
From the obvious trees at this waypoint look due North. The speed limit is ??. The first number is co-ordinate F. Double the first number to get co-ordinate G.

Continue along the footpath which follows the river.

Location 3:
N50°28.909 W004°13.008
The phone number on this metal gate is ????? ??????. Add the second & third number to get co-ordinate H. Also add the sixth & tenth number to get co-ordinate I. The last number is co-ordinate E. The eighth number is co-ordinate J.

Continue following the path.

The final cache can now be found at N50° AB.CDE W004° FG.HIJ

You are looking for a small painted pill pot. We hope you enjoy the walk and the excellent views across the Tamar Valley.
To get you back to the car there is a public footpath at N50°29.056 W004°12.377. Please note the path up to here gets VERY MUDDY by the farm.

WARNING, IF YOU DON'T SIGN THE LOGSHEET ANY SMILEY WILL BE DELETED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
