This cache is located along an old washed-out mining road.
A capable 4x4 is required unless you plan to hike or bike up!!
This used to be an old mining road that is heavily washed-out in several places now. The cache is located right next to the road so you can drive right up to it. These tilted sandstone formations are locally called "Hogbacks".Here are two waypoints to help you get onto the right trail if you want help:Turn-off from the frontage road: N35.32.234 W108.42.350Start of the 4x4 trail up to the cache: N35.33.097 W108.41.747The cache is a one gallon plastic container. Because it is somewhat hard to reach I placed some good contents into it: Geocaching.com patch, 7 in 1 Crescent screwdriver,Duncan Yo-Yo, SpongeBob mechanical pencil set, Pin-on compass, Emergency rain poncho, Batteries for your GPSr.You will notice a road cut higher up on the hogback. That is another old mining road that we named, "You Asked For It". This is a very hard and somewhat dangerous road with wash-outs and steep drop-offs. I do not recommend that you try to drive it.
