This cache has been archived.

HighCountryAdmin: I am archiving this defunct geocache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Pleasant Grove Park in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. It is our first cache. The park has an assortment of slides and swings for the children, as well as picnic areas and a small creek. I have rated it a 2.5 for terrain because you have to cross a small creek and climb a hill. It is 1.5 for difficulty because it is pretty well camouflaged, but it should be easily found by any geocachers. Geomuggles frequent the area, so beware!

This cache container is roughly 6" x 6" x 3", so smaller items and travel bugs only. It is plastic and covered with camouflage tape. Originally a large ammo can, it had been muggled twice at the previous location. The new site is a little harder to get to, especially in the summer when the undergrowth is in place, but you will be less likely to be seen retrieving the cache. (There is a rough "trail" that will help. To locate it align the trash can and two poles that support the nearby canopy. The beginnings of the trail lie to the south.) Please be very careful when replacing the cache and be sure it is well-hidden. F.Y.I. to nightcachers: The park is "closed" from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. It has already been found at 2:20 a.m. with no incident, but I just thought I'd pass it along.
