This regular cache (6x6x4 tupperware-type container) is the
seventh cache secreted along the upper section of the Western Md.
Rail Trail. If you are on foot, be prepared to walk over 18 miles
roundtrip. The caches are more manageable on bike or roller
blades.
This cache is placed near the site of the Round Top Sand Company
that operated here in the early 1900’s. Fine white sand,
called Oriskany sand, suitable for making high quality glass, was
mined here and loaded onto Western Maryland Railroad trains. Please
take care to replace the cache as found. No hint is provided, but
Jethro Tull has provided an apt cache name.
