Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is hidden about 0.8 miles up the slope from the
Eaglecrest parking lot. There is no trail and depending on which
way you choose to go, you might have to do some bush- and
grasswacking, but it's not a hard hike. Enjoy the trinkets in the
cache, but please do not leave any religious articles.
You want to start the hike at the Eaglecrest parking lot (N 58
16.569, W 134 30.897) and proceed up along the chairlift. There are
several different routes, some being easier but less interesting.
At the top of the Hooter chairlift, you will want to part from the
beloved line and proceed on your own. Remember, the cache is not a
motherload, yet... Look around and back as you're heading up the
mountain - there is a beautiful view of the channel with a glimpse
of Juneau. Plenty of small beautiful meadows and ponds are
scattered all around. When you're near the cache, watch out for
snakes. SNAKES??? Where do they like to hide?
30 August 2010 Update: Arrangements have been made to service this
cache while I am out of town. Mihael
