Geocache Description:

Above the Summit West ski slopes. Best to park at the Pacific Crest Trail head parking (heading south)

This one of our favorite mini-hikes -- from the parking to the cache along the PCT is a short mile. The walk will start in old growth and move on to the ski slopes of Summit West. The day we set the cache (July 11) Billie identified over 25 kinds of blooming wildflowers. This cache could be called "and" because it is about halfway between lucyandrickie's Snoqualmie (Black) and Snoqualmie (Blue) -- Snoqualmie Back and Blue -- as Billie would say the hat trick at the pass. The views are wonderful. You can hear the traffic on I 90 most of the way, but when you start to complain -- ask yourself how you got to the trail head. Beaver Lake itself isn't much -- it's the getting there.
