Geocache Description:

Park at N 37° 10.096 W 093° 16.663. There is a memorial and a little bit of history of this area close to the parking area.

This site is a place of meditation, an escape from the world. Here, surrounded by the repeating suburban grid, a space has been left alone. It is a place for couples to take walks, and kids to enjoy bike riding and exploring the small natural thickets. The area is composed of two extreme opposites. One, the open field, the place of landscape. Two, the all-engrossing, thicket; nearly impenetrable except for the maze of trails that runs through it. Pick the right trail and you'll find the cache. Along the south side is South Creek, a connection (trail head) to the South/Wilsons Creek Greenway. There is one field in the middle that is completely surrounded by tree lines and thickets and is such a hospitable environment that a couple of turkey were seen as we were going in to hide the cache. It's hard to believe this quiet piece of landscape is so close to the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. Enjoy!

Although not a night cache, this one would be fun to find in the dark.
Stay on the trails and you'll have no trouble with poison ivy or sticker bushes.
Bring your bugspray.
Use caution after a rainfall as the trails may become a little slippery.
You're looking for a clear container with a screw-on lid. Please hide the cache back as well, if not better, than you found it. It can be seen from the trail if not covered properly. Don't put liquid, scented or perishable items in the cache. Paper items such as signature cards and the like should go in the plastic bag with the logbook.
After finding the cache, roam around the rest of the trails. It's fun!
