Cloud Gate aka The Bean Virtual Cache

Cloud Gate:
Is lovingly known as the Bean in Chicago and is one of the main attractions at Millennium Park. It's a monumental public sculpture by Anish Kapoor which weighs in at 110 tons. Named Cloud Gate by the artist, it's a stainless steel sculpture designed to reflect the Chicago skyline, the new park and everything around it.


To get credit for this cache:
For proof that you found this virtual cache, take a photo of yourself with the bean, ideally with you in the reflection. You are welcome to cover your face. If you prefer, you may take a photo of your GPS in the reflection of the bean. Attach the photo to your log or submit it through the app to me. If you choose to submit it to me, do not wait for a response before logging the cache. If you are in a group photo and only one person in the party uploads the photo, be sure to say who you were with in your log.

8/20/2023 - The area immediately around The Bean is undergoing improvements. As a result you can't get right up to The Bean, but you can still get close enough to take a qualifying photo. The construction is expected to last several months.
