Sunset Knoll Traditional Cache

This cache is part of the Box Canyon Road Series.
This stretch of Box Canyon Road is a scenic, desert drive connecting Interstate 10 with Highway 111. The areas surrounding Box Canyon Road are well-known for fantastic hiking through amazing rock formations in the surrounding washes, canyons, and mountains. Be sure to check out the other caches in the outlying areas.
There is a dirt road that will lead you to the approximate bottom of the knoll. You can see the knoll from the main highway. Then you'll take a little hike up the knoll. I was there at sunset...a spectacular view!!
Cache container is 3 inch diameter tube. Contents include logbook, pencil, and small swag.
All desert rules apply: plenty of water, watch for desert residents (reptilian and otherwise), and watch for soft sand on the shoulders of the highway.
