This cache is named because it is our first cache as well as being on Virgin Run Lake. A nice little hike, bring a pole if you enjoy fishing. Cache is about a hundred feet off the trail.
Virgin Run Dam is a 33–acre lake located in Perry and Franklin townships, Fayette County. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is responsible for the management of the Commonwealth-owned lake. A great little place for fishing, but swimming is not allowed. To get to Virgin Run, turn North East off of Route 201 onto Cemetary Road at N40.02.517, W079.44.992. Turn right onto unmarked road at N40.02.75, W079.44.666. Turn right into the park entrance at N40.02.533, W079.43.392. Park at any of the obvious parking and take one of the trails that skirts the lake. The Cache is a 30 caliber ammo can. We left a disposable camera so please take a pic of yourselves at the cache and leave the camera behind. Also left a few trinkets to get things started as well as a Yellow Jeep TB. Good Hunting!
