Geocache Description:

Another in the “Lookout” series. A nice walk along a beautiful shoreline or through pine and cedar forest. Bikes allowed or take a boat over from Kingsland Bay State Park.

Across from Kingsland Bay State Park, this cache is hidden on state lands, accessible by foot, bike, or boat. Park at Ferrisburgh Town Beach. There are a number of routes to the cache, but I suggest you take the trail that follows the shoreline for the best views. There are picnic tables along the way, but I’d head straight for the point where you can enjoy the view and look for fossils. In the summer you can swim from here- but be careful of all the zebra mussels that are attaching themselves to the rocks. The cache is an ammo box, salvaged from Potash Cache, which had to be archived. So you’ll see the logs from Potash, as well as leftover trade items. Enjoy!
