What's THIS doing here? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

SeanMcTex: Yeah, fair enough. I haven't been super-quick about getting this resurrected, and there are lots of other caches in nearby. It's a great spot, though, so I may replace it in time.

Geocache Description:

Along the top of an impressive structure I didn't know existed until DavidBTex showed it to me. There's a fair bit of moderate bushwhacking involved, and the hike's not short. You might like long pants; you will want a water bottle, especially in summer. Your reward will be an impressive view of parts of San Marcos.

The best way to this cache is to start at Prospect Park, at the end of Prospect Street. You'll pass through a fair bit of city owned greenspace along the way, including a fallow field. There's mesquite and cactus along the way, so keep your eyes open and be careful not to blunder into anything you might regret! (There's a shorter way in, but it's well-fenced and through a private neighborhood, and is generally not recommended.)The cache itself is an ammo can, placed among a bunch of rocks by the side of the two-track road you'll follow for the last part of this hike.
