This microcache is located near the Jefferson Davis Monument, the world's tallest concrete obelisk.
Jefferson Davis was the first and only President of the Confederate States of America (1861-1865). He was born June 3, 1808 on the grounds now occupied by the Jefferson Davis Monument.
Construction of the monument began in 1917 and was completed in 1924. The monument was recently renovated, and reopened to the public in 2004.
This is an offset cache. Your first destination is W36 50.524 N087 18.018, 950ft above sea level. You will have to take the tour to reach this location ($4). Tours leave every half-hour 9am-4:30pm, May 1 - October 31*.
When the elevator doors open to the observation level, make note of the floor number engraved on the inside of the door opening. Use this number to complete the microcache coordinates as shown:
XXX = Floor number + 600
YY = Floor number + 26

The microcache is a small metal canister, slightly smaller than a 35mm film canister. Bring your own pen! The cache is in plain view, you do not have to move any rocks, sticks etc to see it.
