WAKAN ROCK Traditional Cache

"WAKAN ROCK" is main landmark, actual cache placed a few paces away, see Long Description for details
"WAKAN" rock (pron. 'walkon')is located on a natural gas pipeline easement running NW-SE. "WAKAN" is a Sioux word approx. translated 'Spirit'. The 2m.diam boulder, subject of main target coordinates, sticks up from the ground amongst the underbrush a couple of metres NE of the pipeline trail. The actual cache is located in the brush some 17 metres further NNE into the bush @ approx. coord N54.36.409 / W112.45.274. See the encrypted hint for a visible, unique target marker. It is customary to leave a little offering i.e. nuts, breadcrumbs etc on top of the rock for the local small animals. Container is a Rubbermaid cookie box. Initial contents incl 2 fresh AA batt's, ruler, Mewatha Beach pin, pen, pencil and sharpener blade, big green clip for log book, kinder-eg bulldog, 'Anna-Bannana from Lava-Lava Island' VBS mascot, Jesus pin, duck paper clip, note with coord/directions to a great restaurant 20 min.s South of here.
You may wish to use the following waypoints as a route to access the cache: Park @ N54.36.690/W12.45.177. Remainder is only open to ATV/foot traffic. Travel S. up the old road to intersecting cutline @ N54.36.497/W112.45.189. Travel W. on the cutline trail to Pipeline intersection @ N54.36.506/W 112.45.437, then SE. to pos. coord. 'WAKAN Rock'
