The cache was muggled for the second time in its original hidey hole, so we decided to rehide it in a different location, and as a bonus, make it into a puzzle cache as well. In addition to your GPSr and a sense of adventure, you will also need a compass to locate this cache.
The cache is now a 6"X9" Rubbermaid type container, (hopefully) well hidden from casual view. It contains a log book and tradable items. ("Big Cache!") The lid snaps on quite tightly, so PLEASE take the time to make sure it is sealed completely. Also, although it shouldn't be necessary to say it, PLEASE be sure it is WELL HIDDEN when you leave.
Now, let's get started finding this cache!
The posted coords are about 30 feet from where the cache was originally hidden. This is where you will now begin your search. For your pleasure and convenience, the cache is still hidden somewhere in this same shopping center, so you will not have to stray too far.
The cache is located at N35 2A.BCD W82 2E.FGH
Arrive at the parking coords, and look around for something of "epic" proportions. (What you seek may be a bit more "subtle" after dark.) It has a number associated with it. Write it down.
For your intermediate stop, subtract the number you just wrote down from 547. The "North" part of your coords will be N35 20.(result from above). Now add the "epic" number you wrote down to 440 and they will become the "West" part of your coords. W82 26.(result from above).
At your intermediate stop, you will locate a "good sized" boulder. There is nothing hidden here; it's just a reference point from where you will determine the rest of the coords that will lead you to the cache. Set your compass on the boulder, and let it stabilize. Look at bearing 025° and locate a number in white digits. Take the least significant digit and put it in "A." Put the next significant digit in "C."
Look at bearing 305° and locate a small, yellow object with blue trim. Cast into the base of this object is a year. Subtract 27 from the last three digits of the year. Subtract the number in white that you discovered on bearing 025° from the result, and put your answer in "FGH."
Find another number cast into the middle of this yellow object at bearing 305°. Put the "whole" part of this number in "B."
Double the fraction part of this number, and double the 1st digit of the year from the base. Add them together and put the result in "D."
Double the 1st digit from the number in white on bearing 025° and add the result to the 1st digit of the number you wrote down from the object of "epic" proportions. Put that result in "E."
