andy.gail: Have checked the location of this cache after the DNF and unfortunately it is gone. We are not replacing as this now seems to be a toy area and dead tree cache was at seems likely to fall over soon.

The cache is located on the grounds of a scenic bush reserve south of Nelson.
There are a number of track entrances to the bush reserve.
You need NOT cross the fence to reach the cache.
Because of the tree cover, the GPS co-ordinates can vary when close to the cache site.
The cache is a 400ml camo-painted container.
It initially contained a log book,pencil, a "signature" item and a number of other items.
You will be rewarded with a visit to one of the Waimea Plain's largest remaining stands of Totara trees.
Because of a concern over the location of the original cache site, I relocated it on 2/1/05. The area is the same, just a new hiding place. The orginal co-ordinates, information and cryptic hints have been sightly altered.
