This is the first cache I have hidden. Its not to far from where
I work, in a small park/plaza right out side the office where Mayor
Moonbeam works. Yup, Mayor Moonbeam, formerly Governor Moonbeam,
also known as Jerry Brown, former Governor of California and now
Mayor of the City of Oakland. This cache is hidden in Frank Ogawa
Plaza right in front of Oakland City Hall. Before I started working
here all I knew about Oakland was what I saw on the evening news so
I assumed it was all ghetto and slummy but that's not true. There
are lots of really nice spots in Oakland and the City Center is one
of them. This is a very pleasant spot and I often come here to eat
my lunch. There are usually lots of Muggles around so be careful.
But I would still recommend coming here during the day when all the
office workers are around as the night time muggles are shall we
say, different.
Initially the cache contained a slightly used one dollar bill
for the person who gets the FTF.
With all the close by tall buildings GPS reception is a little
erratic, if you find it and your coordinates are wildly different
than the posted values please post your coordinates with your log
entry.
If you are having troubles finding this cache, find a nice
bench, look at the grass, and wait for illumination. (9/2 I updated
the hint and now its a total give away).

Edit 2007-01-08: Jerry has left the Mayors office to
become California State Attorney General, but since he survived two
terms as mayor without embarrassing himself or the city this cache
will remain as a tribute to his time here. Now that he is the top
law enforcement person in the state, he is not tempted to setup the
Suede Denim secret police, California Uber Alles!
Edit 2011-04-11 Jerry has now moved on to become Governor
of California. California Uber Alles!
