Geocache Description:

Moderate walk

The cache is a short walk along part of the Pennine Way close to the River Tipalt and the ruins of Thirlwall Castle. There's an interesting bit of history on the boards near the ruins, giving an idea of life in the castle in bygone days. There is ample parking at the beginning of the walk or you can walk to the cache (about three quarters of a mile) from one of our nearby caches. Smallish cache so small swaps please. Enjoy!
