Geocache Description:

With Fisherwoman's encouragement (two FTF opportunities), we were once again treking thoughout this lovely park. So I felt that is was my obligation to leave a cache dedicated to my good friend, Fisherwoman.

I've got a lot of great stories to tell about cachin' with Fisherwoman. There was the day she was out caching on horsieback and was very impatient waiting for me. On another trip after a long hot hike (over hill and through dale) and a short respite, she did her best to clean my b.... Then, there was also the time when we she caught both a trout and a cache! She is that good!!!

I am really looking forward to all of our future caching and fishing adventures together. Oh yeah, this Tuesday... stay tuned to the right channel.....

Got up at the crack of dawn to go catch her two new caches (GCK1YP & GCK1YG). Picked up 4wheeler and we didn't even stop for live bait. No boat this time, just our bikes and our fancy new cache finders from Garmin. Whew, got on scene, hooked and landed 'em both and did our part to keep the area well stocked as we practiced cache-and-release. Since we cached our limit by 9AM it was our opportunity to stock the park for others.

It was my intention to make this a Bridge-to-Bridge cache along the length of the park, to let you explore the meandering stream, but I ran into several serious snags along the way:

  1. Stage 1 was originally planned for the nearby bridge, but we found a letterbox instead (N37 38.561 W121 46.922). Plan 2 was to place it on the parking meter, but Mr. Ranger nixed that idea. So we moseyed on out to find a spot.
  2. Stage 2 is at the far end of the park, so I would suggest biking it.
  3. Stage 3 was originally inspired by my adventures with Fisherwoman. It was under-water attached via fishing line. As of 3/16/07 it was replaced with an ammo can, which was also stolen. In 2010 it was rerplaced with a small hanger.
