Geocache Description:

The container is owned and maintained by a non-geocacher. They have graciously given permission for it to be listed as a cache. Please leave only your log entry.

"Once the bed of a railroad that linked Providence with Massachusetts towns, the walkway now presents a place for easy, leisurely strolls. In addition to the idyllic scenes of the Woonasquatucket River as it leaves Stump Pond and then flows into Stillwater Pond, you are likely to see water birds, song birds, turtles, frogs and butterflies. Depending on the season, you may also see wildflowers and songbirds beside the lane, or energetic squirrels and deer tracks." -Smithfield Conservation Commission

I hope you have time to take in the wonderful walk before visiting the cache. It could well serve as inspiration for your log entry.

Upcoming roadwork may limit access at the western trailhead. No bushwhacking required.
