Geocache Description:

Since I just recently started geocaching and have only looked for caches while visiting relatives in TN, I thought I'd host a little "Meet and Greet" event so I could meet my geocaching neighbors. I have 3 other geocaching newbies and a couple geocaching veterans that will be coming with me from other states.


Where: 327-acre Goodells County Park - Goodells, MI
When: July 31th @ 10:00 am
Who: All Cachers

What will be provided: Drinks, Coordinates, :)

What to bring.... Well, if you want to grill something, bring it along. I'm not planning on renting a pavilion or anything; the coordinates are for a spot near some rest-rooms and play equipment for the kids. If the pavilion is open, we may use it.

I'm not planning on putting together any geo-caching games or anything like that for this event, but I've heard a lot about them so we'd like to see this kind of thing more often once we get geocaching more. You may want to bring some bug spray, the flying vampires are thick at times. Also, those with folding type chairs should bring them. Official "Start" time will be at 10:00 am and we can sit and chat for as long as you want. Geo-kids will have fun with the parks equipment and the room to run and make as much noise as they want. There are a few caches in the area and we encourage other local cachers to hide more before Saturday. Come meet some of the local cachers whom you've all read about in the cache pages!!

The event cache "Goodells Meet and Greet" GCK2P9 7/31/2004 has been relocated about one mile away due to an unforeseen conflict with the county fair.

Everything is the same except the location. Still bring a lawn chair, drinks are still provided, you get the idea.

Parking will be a little more complicated. Just park along the edge of the road with the other cars.
