50 Cal ammo box hidden on the "Old Sawmill Horse Trail" in Pine Log
State Forest
The trail head is located at N 30 23.876 W 085 52.240 with parking.
Being part of the state park system, there is a $ 2 parking fee per
person.
The trail system is 12.5 mile loop designed for horse riding.
The cache is about 1/3 of a mile in following the trail. It's
considerably shorter 'as the crow flies' but I wouldn't suggest
trying it. The trail up to the cache is pretty wide (guess it'd
need to be for horses...) but I'd suggest wearing long pants as the
grass covering the trail was a couple of feet high when I planted
the cache.
The cahce is in a 50 cal ammo box less than 10 feet from the
trail.
