Entre Carboneras y Agua Amarga (Almería) hay una carretera que conduce al promontorio rocoso de Mesa Roldán. En la cima hay un faro y una torre fortificada del siglo XVIII, que contaba en su tiempo con guarnición y artillería y que fue lugar estratégico para la defensa costera frente a los ataques piratas

Between Carboneras and Aguamarga (Almeria) there is a road that leads to the rocky promontory of Mesa Roldán. In the top there is a lighthouse and a fortified tower of the century XVIII, that counted in its time with trimming and artillery and that was strategic place for the coastal defense forehead to the pirate attacks.
