Valdez Hillside Traditional Cache
erik88l-r: Cache is gone, cache owner has not logged on in nearly two months, so I have archived it for him. I would not do this but another cache has been placed nearby. Thanks for the past fun.

This cache can be found on a walking trail close to the Valdez Harbor. Short walk, with a small section that takes you up in elevation quickly. Enjoy the view of the ocean and the greatness of God's creation. The area will be under deep snow from Nov - April.
Don't look down when searching for this cache. You'll have better luck looking up in the branches of a big spruce tree, about ten paces from a lookout area. You will see it hanging in a basket from a branch. Hopefully it won't stick out like a sore thumb. We tried to be sneaky. There is plenty of rope to lower it to check the tin for the cache items. Please be careful to replace the cache and hide the rope so that it is concealed again for the next hunt. If you drop the rope, you'll have to climb the tree to fix it, so be careful!The cache contains small little "treasures".Please remember to sign our log book!
