Geocache Description:

Take a hike! This is a 2.4 mile (one way) hike starting at the trailhead sign at W44*26.647 N110*48.392 (park near here) and ending at the destination coords.

This is an easy hike following the Firehole River, pretty much level, on such a wide trail (it used to be a road) that it makes a great biking trail as well.

At the coords, you will find a log book (NPS log book; not a geocache log book). You must sign this log book to claim this cache.

Also, email me about your hike or bike ride and something about the last entry in this log book. If you wait for the “action”, you will be well rewarded.

Remember to take and drink plenty of water. Take a snack or lunch and enjoy the thermal feature. Mosquito repellant is really important in the spring and summer months. During winter, this trail will become a ski trail. Enjoy!

Bonus: In the next parking area near the Kepler Cascade sign, there is a benchmark!
