This is an incredibly family friendly cache. There's something here for family members of every age.
This ammo box was originally placed at nearby Schweer Recreation Area. When a group of neighborhood kids started to build a fort very near the cache site we decided to move it somewhere safer. For those of you who are quick to find new caches you may remember Schweer Cache and find your signature items still in the box! This cache is a standard ammo box placed in an incredibly family friendly park. We sometimes call it "Goose Poop Park" for reasons you'll understand when you visit the cache. When you come for this cache you may want to do some of the following...*fish in the pond. I've taught all my kids to fish in this park (even though we don't live in Papillion.) Lots of bluegills and catfish. You can catch a fish with every cast.*play at the playground.*bring a bat and ball to play on one of the ball diamonds.*pack a soccer ball to kick around on the soccer fields.*launch a model rocket.*pack a picnic to eat at any of the numerous picnic tables.*ride go carts or play miniature golf at Papio Fun Plex.*pack a towel and swim suit (weather permitting)for a visit to Papio Bay Aquatic Center.*bring a bike or good shoes to enjoy the Papio Trail.and our personal favorite....BRING A LOAF OF BREAD TO FEED THE GEESE!and don't forget a stop at the nearby Dairy Queen or Runza for an ice cream to celebrate your find.
