Hidden on an island in Eugenia Lake.
This was GPS_Dave McK's first cache, placed in June 2004.
Dave used to own a cottage with a clear view of the cache location; he isn't in the area often anymore and this cache has been adopted to keep it going a little longer.
Thanks go out to GPS_Dave McK for this cache and for the opportunity to experience this beautiful area.
It is located on an island which is winter accessible with appropriate ice conditions.
Be safe! - If you are uncertain of ice conditions - leave this cache on your "To Do" list for another day.

The cache is located on the island, in a magical place, near the edge of a rock garden, surrounded by trees. It's a camouflage painted .30-cal ammo can filled with standard geocache items.
Those who have found this cache previously will notice a change in Terrain rating. With the introduction of the "Boat Required" attribute, a 5 Terrain rating is no longer merited. I have far more difficult to access caches that only get a 4.5 Terrain rating. As such, I am adjusting this one to a 4, as that is what I would consider it, since you could just walk to it in winter, if you wanted. If you are concerned about your stats or are playing for any challenges, feel free to consider it a 5, or whatever you choose. I prefer to modify the ratings on my caches to accurately reflect the current cacher experience. You may play the game as you see fit.
NOTES:
- Canoe / Kayak / Boat required.
- If the water is warm enough, you could swim!
- Winter friendly hide, once the lake is frozen, of course.
