Part of the Ferry Godmother series - a set of caches designed with the island-hopping geocacher in mind. Within walking distance of ferry waiting lines. Cache is a medium sized container with the usual assortment of goodies, and a logbook/pen. Be very careful not to be seen by muggles, which are everywhere in tourist season and on busy weekends!
Although Orcas Island may appear to be named after the type of whale that frequents these waters (Killer Whales, or Orcas), it's more probable that it was named after the Viceroy of New Spain: Don Juan Vincente de Guemes Pacheco de Padilla Horcasitees y Aguayo, Conde Revilla de Gigedo. It's an extraction of the Horcasitees portion!
