Whitaker Woods Cache Traditional Cache
Hipointer and Capiti: I visited the cache site today and found the cache in the open with the cover ajar and full of water. There also was cigarette butts in the cache and pornography in the log book. This cache has been muggled at least three times now so it is no longer safe at this site and regretfully we must archive it. We hate to do it because it is an old cache that we adopted, but we have no choice.

This cache is located in Whitaker Woods out behind John Fuller Elementary School which is located on Pine St. in North Conway (last traffic light in N. Conway Village as you head north). Park in the school parking lot, but please stay out of the School Bus loop (school release is around 3:10). The trail (Fuller Trail) starts at the tree line of right field at the ball field (you'll see the signage). Once on the trail, cross the RR tracks, continue straight up the incline. Keep bearing to the right (take the lower trail).You will come to a "T" after a while; turning to the right will only put you in someone's back yard (you can see the house), so take a left. The Cache is located in an ammo box hidden in the rocks. Have fun exploring, and please don't go up on top of the ledge! NOTE:This cache will only remain at this location until late Fall since these trails then become "pay" X-Country Ski trails. UPDATE: I have decided to leave this here in case some of you are X-Country Skiers!
