Ghost Playground Traditional Cache
redlights: I decided to stop by and check on the "Ghost Playground" today. BOY am I glad I did. As I approached the trail leading to groundzero I noticed yellow caution tape laying on the ground along with a sign indicating that the trail was closed. As I got even closer to groundzero I noticed two other things: 1 - that the area was a lot clearer than before (all of the underbrush and smaller trees had been removed) and number 2 - the former play equipment - hence the name-sake for the cache was gone as well. I truly believe that the hiding spot was and is in jeopardy, since the leveled ground stopped only 12 inches from the hiding spot. Because of that I am deciding to ARCHIVE this cache. It had a really good run - with over one hundred visits in about two years. To those who may be watching this listing I am truly sorry! Don't be afraid - the container will reappear. Hopefully a little closer to home!

Located in John G. Lancaster Park, near an old, abandoned
playground. Perhaps the young ghosts still play here.
John G. Lancaster Park is located near the heart
of the town of Lexington Park. Follow Great Mills Road (MD #246)
southwest, then take the second left turn and go south on
Shangri-La Drive. When you reach the fork in the road at Lexington
Park Baptist Church, go left on Willows Road. Continue south on
Willows Road, and the park will be on the left.
As of 04/16/06 -this cache should now be considered to be a
SMALL cache instead of a micro. The new owners
feel since it is located near a playground children may enjoy the
hunt and want some reward.
