Geocache Description:

Cache located approx 3 km off main highway. First 1 1/2 km all season dirt road. Second 1 1/12 km cart track passable by 2 wheel drive in dry season, 4 wheel drive will be required in wet season. Final 50 meters very steep downhill path.

I was introduce to this site by a Costa Rican residente friend of mine from Canada (retired), Harv. As it is not possible for me to maintain the site, that responsibility has been passed on to him. The cache is approx 100 meters from a beautiful waterfall. Unfortunately, the digital picture of the falls I hoped to include in ths report crashed. The cache contains various Canadian and Costa Rican treasures as well as the normal keychains, cigarette lighters and GPS food. It has been well prepared and packaged against the wet weather so please re-pack the cache with care. Enjoy the falls, bring your swim suit (the water is warm, not deep and the bottom is sandy). Please use caution on the final path down to the base of the falls. It could be very slippery in the wet season. The path to the cache starts at the base of trail down to the stream/waterfall. If you drive right to the start of the trail down to the lagoon/base of falls, don't forget to tip (200 colones is good) the local Tico providing parking lot security when you leave. GPS Gods were not very good to me on this day so I took several fixes and averaged them out (heavy tree cover).
