Geocache Description:

A short walk down to a hidden bridge over the River Tees.

The bridge was built in 1870 to connect the 2 small settlements of Sockburn and Girsby. Previously the only way across was by boat, and there was no road crossing for many miles. The hamlet of Girsby consists of a couple of houses and a small church. The views over the River Tees are impressive.

THE CACHE IS A MAGNETIC KEY SAFE - PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PENCIL.
