Geocache Description:


This cache is at the eastern edge of the ACT at the edge of Kowen Forest - It's a great walk/ride through the forest to get there, and there are really nice views over Bungendore when you get there. What more could you ask for? Not on a hill? Sorry - did I mention, it's on Bald Hill! After most of the pine forests in the ACT were destroyed in fires, it is nice to see that there are still one or two left to explore.

If you want to enjoy the fresh pine air, you should do as I did - I chose to ride my mountain bike! Also, If you come the way I did, don't forget to check out the Magnetic Observatory along the way at 35º18.757, 149º21.781.

Warnings:
1. Don't go through gates that say "private property" or "keep out", or are locked.
2. Close any gates you may go through.
3. Don't enter parts of the forest that are closed due to logging.
4. Please BYO pen.
