The cache is located close to a footpath within Wycoller Country Park where the now-ruined hall was once the inspiration for Ferndean Manor in Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre".
Today the park is a popular attraction with its outstanding views, old hall & bridge and aisled barn visitors centre. There are also refreshments, picnic areas and toilets on site and plenty of water for the younger ones (and four-legged friends) to paddle in, so why not bring lunch and stay a while..
Free parking is available at Haworth Road car park N53 51.009 W002 05.789
The cache itself is a small clear plastic container and can be reached quite easily as the terrain is not difficult, but please take care after rainfall as it may be slippery. GPS accuracy at the time of placing the cache was 16 feet, but you shouldn't have any problems.
Please do not remove stones from the dry stone wall - we don't want any complaints from the land owners and it shouldn't be necessary if the cache is replaced correctly. Thank you.
We hope you enjoy it.
