This is a 2 part multi-cache set
close to a footpath in some woods at Diamond End.
Make the most of this while you
can, i've recently seen the plans for the airport expansion and
this cache will be at the end of the new runway!!!
This cache
requires special tooling so read on before you set off!!
(Please be
considerate when parking)
You are required to make some
tooling to assist you in locating the micro cache in part 1. You
require two pieces of string each with a small loop at one end
suitable for placing over a hook. One piece of string needs to be
463cm (182.25") long, the other 415cm (163.25").
At the above co-ords you will find
some trees, at the base of 2 of these trees there is a black metal
hook screwed into the trunk. Facing the trees (ie towards the path)
hook the longer piece of string over the hook on the left and hook
the shorter piece of string over the hook on the right. Take up the
slack and gently pull the strings tight so both LOOSE ends
meet.......providing the strings are the correct length and there
is no slack in the strings, below where the 2 ends meet is the
micro cache! Please just remove the cap not
the whole tube from the ground...there is a little knob to help in
removing the cap. It will all become apparent
IF you find the micro!!
On the side of this
cap (and a spare in the bottom of the tube) are the co-ords for the
main cache (part 2) just a short walk away....which should be no
problem after the micro!
Please hide the
micro so it blends in...if you know what I mean. And please remove
your string.
See the diagram in the pictures
above for an idea of what you've got to do.
