This cache has been archived.

Alpine Reviewer: As I have not received an update from the cache owner, I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you (the cache owner) wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future, please contact me, and assuming it meets the guidelines, I will be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Nuestra Senora de La Luz historic site

Difficulty:2, Terrain:1

Don't even think about getting there from the interstate

A whole different world exists a short distance away from the glamour of Santa Fe; this historic New Mexico church is a fine example of the focal point of a rural Hispanic community, where people such as Tomas Gorule and Eloisa Clokey lived and died. To locate the cache (hidden outside of the church property) take the difference of their ages at death (años) and add it to the 166 years the Archdiocese celebrates. That is the (true) heading from the side entrance of the church to the cache's resting spot. The cache is a rectangular metal coffee can. Its original contents are: pencil, logbook, fishing fly (elk hair caddis), 7.5 ft 4x leader, hatchet pin, Red Cross CPR card, small silk bag, and a geography pin. Please be respectful of the site and its surroundings
