Eigentlich ist der GC gar nicht auf dem Schildenstein, sondern
auf dem Blauberggrat ca. 100 Meter unter dem Gipfel. Somit kann man
wählen, wie man zum GC kommt:
- als trittsicherer Wanderer kann man bei trockenem
(!) Wetter über die Wolfsschlucht aufsteigen; bis zum Klammende
ist's übrigens ein sehr netter und einfacher Spaziergang (nur ist
man dann noch 500 Meter unter dem GC ...)
- gemütlicher - wenn auch mit 10 Minuten Umweg zum GC - kann man
über die Geiß- und die Königsalm aufsteigen
- schließlich dürfte es auch noch einen Anstieg auf der Südseite
der Blauberge von Achenwald in Tirol geben; den kenne ich
allerdings nicht.
Parken kann man in den ersten beiden Fällen am Großparkplatz an
der Weißach kurz hinter Wildbad Kreuth.
Der GC ist in einfachem Gehgelände in 1460 Metern Höhe
ziemlich nah am Weg. Mehr zum Schildenstein gibt es

Inhalt: Stifte, Spitzer, Logbuch (wie immer bitte nicht
entfernen), 2 Autos, Merkzettel, Parfümprobe
Strikly spoken, the GC is not on the Schildenstein, but on the
Blaubergkamm (a long ridge) about 100 meters below the summit.
Thus, you can choose between several routes to the GC:
- If you are a experienced hiker and the weather
conditions are dry (!), take the steep trail after the
Wolfsschlucht (gorge); by the way, to the end of the gorge you can
stroll quite easily (but still you will be 500 meters below the
cache ...)
- More comfortable - although with a small detour to the cache -
you can hike via Geißalm and Königsalm
- Finally, there should be a trail on the southern side of the
ridge starting in Achenwald in Tyrol; however, I don't know any
details.
For the first two routes, there is a large parking area shortly
after Wildbad Kreuth.
The cache location is at an altitude of 1460 meters near
the trail. The terrain up here is simple (hiking, walking, no
