Geocache Description:


About the name of our cache:
We had been planning to place this cache for sometime, but weren’t able to find the time.
When our last find was:
(visit link) “Eddie's Nakalele Blowhole Hideout” in Hawaii; we knew we had to head here.

The cache is hidden near Glen Marie Falls on the Glen Burney Trail in Blowing Rock, NC.

The head of the Glen Burney Trail is located very near the center of the town of Blowing Rock, NC. (This Trail Head is located at 36 07.947N & 081 40.833W)
The trail starts out easy as it travels the course of one of the town’s recently constructed sewer lines. After a few hundred yards, the trail takes the course down and follows the river as it falls down the mountainside. PLEASE NOTE: Each step you take from here to the cache is DOWNHILL. (about 650’ grade change) Therefore your return trip will be UPHILL. But what a beautiful walk. This is very nearly a rainforest. Your GPS will have trouble seeing the sky.

If you visit the link above, there is a description of another, easier route to the cache site, but one for which we cannot vouch for. However, we did see the trail spur mentioned in the above mentioned link.

The cache is a clear Rubbermaid-type container. Please hide the cache back very well so that others may enjoy.
