Midway Cafe: Although I did pick up a new container future maintenance was going to be a continuing problem. Rather than replacing this, I have retrieved it and will consider some other sites for a new cache. It was fun while it lasted.

Geocache Description:

Parking and boat launch located at N 41 43.855 W 71 33.931
There is a swimming area with a rope swing at the dam and plenty of fish along the way. There are no public access points along the river near the hide so a canoe or kayak will be necessary in order to find this cache.

Enjoy your leisurely paddle approximately 1 mile along the North Branch of the Pawtuxet River. Find a group of small islands and wedge your boat in an almost impassable channel between two islands. If you approach from the correct side cache will be easily viewed. Container is anchored to a tree and can be retrieved without leaving your boat.
Small trades only and don't forget something to stamp.

Original cache contents; Garfield Bookmark, Rubber Ball, 2-AA Batteries, Frog Hopper, Etch-A-Sketch Keychain, Coin from Guatemala, Neck Lanyard, Golf Coupon, Small Eraser, Letterbox Stamp & Black Stamp Pad,Capt'n Jack's Treasure Geo-Coin and a limited supply of the Midway Cafe Signature Pins.

Should you wish to continue your paddle beyond the cache you will eventually reach the Gainer Memorial Dam which is quite impressive when viewed from the base.

Special Thanks to McDyver for providing the start to this cache by running the 200yd Cache Dash at the local Geo-Meets.
