The Oasis Restaurant was once located in the building that is nearest this cache. Back before the famous arches the only place to eat fast food in Leitchfield was at the Oasis. The menu consisted of burgers, hotdogs, chicken and later barbecue. As the larger chains moved into town the Oasis would close down and be replaced by a Subway.
As a kid I can remember many a trip to eat here on our way to and from Nolin Lake. My parents would always order the chicken liver dinners and I would always order the hotdogs (Which were very unique), they were deep fried which made them curl and fit onto a toasted hamburger bun. Do You Remember?
