NOTE: The cache is not affected by the condition of the walkway
on Echo Bridge. You can still complete all stages without a
problem--at least without a problem caused by the walkway.
Heh-heh!
The purpose of this cache is to get you to see some of the
highlights of one of the “hidden jewels” that geocaching so often
brings to light. (At the risk of sounding immodest, I would like to
point out another of those highlights, my other cache here in the
gorge,
Rising Gorge.) A couple of places are steep, and there's a fair
bit of walking, so I would leave small kids at home, unless you
really like carrying them
Although there's a lot of poison
ivy in this area, it's not a problem in any of the hiding
places. The coordinates are for the first of three waypoints.
You will see some numbers here. Add them together. Subtract
289 from the total. That will give you the missing digits for
waypoint #2: N 42 18.880 W071 1_.___ Waypoint 2 is notoriously
hard to pinpoint, because your GPSr will get weird echoes off
any nearby large object. Use your Geocacher's "Spider Sense."
At waypoint 2 you will find the coordinates for waypoint #3,
the actual cache. When you find it, you will have seen (some
of) the highlights of one of my favorite green spaces.
