Traditional cache, hidden in a quiet, peaceful setting. Level terrain and a well-defined set of paths, soft sandy trails though, so wear sneakers (not sandals)! Only minimal bushwhacking needed, the cache is less than 100 feet off the trail.
Targeted container is an ammo can in a very green location! :)
This cache is named after the Fore 'N' Aft motel, previously owned by my grandparents on Route 6A, in North Truro!
The cache is hidden in a public park belonging to Provincetown. It is part of some land that Provincetown bought from Truro, known as the Foss Woods Conservation Area. They have well-maintained trails running throughout.
Suggested parking is at N42'03.872 W070'09.768. This is Snail Road, and there is free public parking and signage along this road. There are multiple ways to access the cache location, but I did not explore them all, so try it at your own risk. Total hike is about .42mi each way.
Oh, yeah, and BRING BUGSPRAY!
NOTE: This trail will intersect a paved trail. If you follow the paved trail to the left, you must climb (almost) straight up hill, and you will arrive at the base of a giant water tower (visible for miles). The view from up there is non-existent due to tree growth, and it would be a dangerous area to bring children to.
