Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Northwest Branch Park close within walking (or climbing) distance to U.S. Route 29.

The cache is Tougher to get to, more Tricky to spot and Treacherous to reach unless you use the safe approach route.

Please examine the area carefully, wear shoes with good traction and don't attempt unless your up for a physical challenge and have good balance and traction. There is one way to reach the cache without getting wet but finding that way is what makes this cache a challenge. You may want to keep your hands free until you narrow down on the cache site.

Crossing the river is NOT recommended. It often is very fast moving and therfore very dangerous.

For those unfamiliar with the Northwest Branch Park there is a parking lot off Route 29 at the bottom of the hill right next to the trail. (Note: Toxicodendron radicans grow around the cache area - wear long pants if you fear them.) Tip: Wear old clothing you don't mind getting dirty just in case.

WARNING: Do not attempt when raining or when ground is wet - the river and rocks may not treat you kindly.

If you have not found this cache since it was adopted, feel free to log it again...
