The "Inmate" Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is a film canister containing only a log book and pencil and is within six meters of the path. Please use both sides of the paper in the log book and beware of surrounding brambles during the summer months.
The large flat field between the cache site and the railway line to the west, was a large rail marshalling yard during the war and there were rail crossings over the river taking trains to Port Richborough. The derelict building was at this time a military controlled prison, this gives our cache it's name. The history of this area is well worth further investigation. WARNING CATTLE GRAZING THIS FIELD AT TIMES!!!
